IBC Photo Contest

 

Submit a picture of your favorite Mississippi River Bridge (Louisiana to Minnesota).  Ten of the most beautiful bridge photos will be selected and published in the IBC Magazine 2012!  (Note: a photo release form will be required for all selected photos.)

Guidelines for the (first ever) IBC Photographic Contest – Mississippi River Bridges – 10 Most Beautiful Bridges:

  1. Only pictures of Mississippi River Bridges (Louisiana to Minnesota) will be accepted; furnish bridge name, bridge location, photographer’s name and approximate date of photograph with each entry.

  2. Only digital photographs will be accepted.  Photographs must be in JPEG format of at least 1205 x 945 pixels, but no larger than 1600 x 1200 pixels.  Both color and black and white photographs are eligible. The bridge need not be opened to construction – construction photos are encouraged.  There is no time limit when the photograph has been or can be taken (exclusive of contest deadline).

  3. By submitting the photograph to the competition, the entrant [i] attests that he/she is the person who took the photograph, [ii] transfers copyright to IBC for the photograph, and [iii] gives permission (with due acknowledgement) to the IBC to use the photograph in publications, literature and web sites. Note: a photo release form will be required for all selected photos.

  4. There is no limit to the number of photographic entries; however, submit only one photograph per bridge site.

  5. The editorial staff of the IBC Magazine will select the winning entries.  The winning photographs will be displayed in the IBC Magazine (Special IBC Conference Edition with hard copy circulation to all members of ESWP as well as the on-line edition available at eswp.com>) and the first prize winner will be highlighted in the keynote session of IBC 2012 (June 11, 2012).

  6. Deadline for photographic contest entries is March 31, 2012 – please upload photographs to ESWP (link here) or email c.stellfox@eswp.com by the due date.
