Skills:

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering with 2+ years of product engineering experience.

  • Self starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability.

Broad Function

Direct line responsibility to perform under minimum supervision all required functions in the particular engineering discipline for a specific portion of a major project, or an entire smaller project.

Principal Duties

• Associates Degree or B.S. in Civil Engineering is preferred (P.E. status is a plus)
• Certification as a Certified Bridge Inspector (CBI) from successful completion of the Bridge Inspector Training Course
• Experience inspecting bridges and similar structures and determining structure soundness and overall compliance with NBIS and local, state and federal regulations
• Experience managing and leading inspection teams in accordance with PennDOT and NJDOT inspection requirements
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
• Experience with MicroStation (V8) and AutoCAD (v.2005) software is a plus
• Qualification as a certified commercial diver (a plus)
The position requires ability to navigate in and around bridge structures and may require climbing, wading in waterways, working from a boat, and working in and around traffic. Candidates may be required to travel within PA, NJ & DE area.
