WATER/WASTEWATER ENGINEER
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Description: The primary duties of the Water/Wastewater Project
Engineer are to create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment
systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
More specific responsibilities include preparing plans for water and
wastewater systems, writing specifications, analysis and study-level
reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection
systems, determining appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and
selection and working directly with the owner. Conducts quality control
reviews of completed designs. Should be familiar with water and wastewater.
Requirements: BSCE, EIT -PE if eligible, 4 + Years experience with
Municipal Water and Wastewater systems planning and design. Strong technical
background and experience in designing Water Distribution Systems, Wastewater
Collection Systems & Treatment Plant Components, MSCE preferred.

PROJECT MANAGER/WATER PROGRAMS
Project Manager/Water programs will plan, direct and monitor all aspects
of water/wastewater projects. May be involved with the production and
coordination of several projects concurrently. Establishes client relations
and is involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
Conducts schematic, design development and contract document work sessions
at project sites in conjunction with others. Is responsible to coordinate
the staffing and workload of the staff through the entire project development
to complete documents on schedule. Works with Business/Accounting Manager,
Project Controller or Company Controller and the Department Manager
or Managing Principal for project reviews. Responsible for implementing
QA/QC procedures. Responsible for execution of training for personnel
as established by strategic plans. Will also have responsibility for
helping to grow the water/wastewater program in the Pennsylvania area.
Position requires minimum of 10 years of related experience on water
and wastewater projects. Must have knowledge of various water /wastewater
technologies and regulations. Should have relationships with or knowledge
of clients in the Pennsylvania area. A minimum of a bachelor's degree
is required; MS, PE registration and previous marketing or program management
experience are a plus.

Transportation Designer (EIT) – will conduct
analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in
the preparation of cost estimates and specifications. Will also perform
routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques
and procedures. Position typically requires a bachelors degree in Engineering,
EIT and 0-4 years of experience. Must have knowledge and/or experience
with transportation engineering principles and have experience with
Microstation and/or InRoads and like use of computers.
Senior Roadway Engineer/Manager- will review design
field view submittals from design teams and will assist HDR’s
Project Manager in the management of this multi-billion dollar program.
Will coordinate design activities between Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission
(PTC) and section designers. Position typically requires 15+ years in
highway design, including large scale project management experience.
BS in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters is preferred. Microsoft
Suite & ProjectWise experience is needed. PE is required.

Mechanical Engineer
Engineering Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer experienced
in the design, specification, and operation of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire
Protection systems for buildings. Responsible for providing input to
the team that is developing plans, specifications, and estimates for
engineering projects on the University Park Campus and Commonwealth
Campuses. Prepare special studies, written reports, and project scoping
documents. Review designs for renovations and major construction projects.
Develop standards for the University's mechanical systems. Consult with
faculty, staff, and design professionals to determine conditions and
requirements for new construction, renovation, repairs, and corrective
measures. Check field conditions in area under analysis and provide
technical expertise to resolve system operational problems, deficiencies,
and changes that need to be made. Work with trades supervisors and crews,
make recommendations, develop proposals and reports for major issues,
etc. Serve as main point of information and contact for design professionals
during the design and construction process relative to the University's
preferences and standards. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent
in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, plus seven years of
work-related experience. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania
is required. Knowledge and understanding of building automation and
control systems required.
