Student Scholarships

Thank you for your interest in the financial aid options available through the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania.

The qualification criteria for each of the programs is listed below. If you feel that you or someone you know meets these criteria you can request the Application Forms and related information below.

Joseph A. Levendusky Memorial Scholarship

This Scholarship, with funding up to $7,000 per year, will be awarded to an undergraduate student in mechanical or chemical engineering who meets the following criteria and requirements:

  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to seek a career in the field of water technology. [Environmental wastewater, water pollution control and water resource management not included.]
  • Acceptance for enrollment in, or be enrolled in good standing as a student in an accredited institution.
  • Schedule
    • September 3, 2008
      Completed applications must be returned to the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania
    • October 1, 2008
      Awardee(s) are chosen
    • October 26-30, 2008
      Awardee(s) may be invited to the IWC to receive award

This Scholarship, with funding up to $5,000 per year, will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical, environmental, civil, structural or chemical engineering who meets the following criteria and requirements:

  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to seek a career in the field of water technology.
  • Acceptance for enrollment in, or be enrolled in good standing as a student in an accredited institution located in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Michigan and Texas
  • Schedule
    • September 3, 2008
      Completed applications must be returned to the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania
    • October 1, 2008
      Awardee(s) are chosen
    • October 26-30, 2008
      Awardee(s) will be officially announced at the IWC.
